Active Transport Network Design Based on Transit-Oriented Development and Complete Street Approach: Finding the Potential in Qazvin

Today, automobile dependency constantly causes traffic congestion, delays, reduced access, increased fuel and energy consumption, environmental emissions. Automobile has caused many direct indirect transportation problems that may influence our life. Urban planners engineers seek to improve transport networks considering social issues. One of the most successful solutions for advocating sustainable is transit-oriented development (TOD). Another solution encourage use designing roadways based on a complete street approach, which system provides safe, convenient, comfortable travel increases accessibility users all ages regardless their modes. The present study employed saturated roads have heavy time public e-ticket data investigate potential streets in Qazvin. An online questionnaire was developed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method TOD framework essential criteria redesigning network active approach. Thus, after analyzing six (density, diversity, distance, accessibility, demand management, design) eight sub-criteria (pedestrian flow, pedestrian density, connectivity, safety, bike route, bus road width, urban tree canopy index), proposed emerged results show five high priority were identified be considered as solution.
